What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a unique approach that combines creative expression with psychological insight, helping individuals connect with their inner world. This form of therapy enables people to express thoughts, emotions, and memories that may be difficult to articulate with words alone. Through visual art, music, writing, or movement, we can access layers of experience not always available through language—offering a powerful gateway to the unconscious. By observing the symbols, colors, sounds, or gestures that arise, clients often gain valuable insight into their inner landscapes, bringing what is hidden into conscious awareness.

My experience & approach
I bring a rich background in art therapy, grounded in both academic study and hands-on work. I hold a Bachelor’s in Expressive Arts in Social Transformation and a Master’s in Intermedial Art Therapy—both from the Medical School Hamburg—as well as a Diploma in Art Therapy from Mexico. My work spans clinical settings in Luxembourg and Germany with youth and adults, supporting transformative processes in both group and individual sessions. In Australia, I’ve worked with marginalized communities through creative practices, and in Mexico, I led workshops and taught an art therapy seminar. I’ve also collaborated with individuals with disabilities, facilitated workshops at festivals, and coordinated creative projects for children in Peru.
With a foundation in music, writing, movement, and visual arts, I take an intermedial approach—offering clients the freedom to express themselves in ways that feel most natural. Whether it’s dance, sound, painting, crafting, words, or performance, I guide each person with a process-oriented and person-centered approach, adapting sessions to their pace and what emerges in the moment.

What to expect in an intermedial art therapy session
In a typical session, we’ll explore various creative modalities based on your preferences, comfort level, and goals. Sessions might include activities like painting, drawing, music improvisation, creative writing, or guided movement. No prior experience in any of these art forms is necessary; the focus is on the process, not on producing a polished result.
After the creative exploration, we’ll discuss what emerged for you, examining any emotions, thoughts, or memories that may have surfaced. This reflective discussion can help you integrate new insights, recognize recurring themes, and connect more deeply with yourself.

Is intermedial art therapy right for you?
Intermedial Art Therapy is for anyone curious about exploring themselves through creative expression. Whether you’re navigating challenges or simply seeking deeper self-awareness, this approach welcomes all who feel drawn to a more intuitive, reflective path—no artistic experience needed.
It may be especially supportive if you:
• Are seeking new tools to address challenges like anxiety, stress, trauma, or low self-esteem
• Are open to a personal and reflective journey guided by expression rather than words alone
• Wish to deepen self-understanding and uncover subconscious patterns
